Home Learning

Every two weeks, students will be receiving a new home learning grid to complete. A physical copy will also be sent home on Monday at the beginning of the two-week cycle.

Using the home learning grid will help students become more organized and develop self-regulation skills as they plan their schedules for the two-week cycle and make personal choices which fit their interests and goals.

Every time a student finishes a task, he/she will check off the box in the grid and write the date of completion beside the box. The home learning grid and the completed materials will be stapled and handed in together on the due date.

Students must complete the task with a star every day, and the tasks with the red circles by the due date. Each home learning grid will specify how many tasks students will have to complete by the due date. With the exception of reading every day, students will be choosing a different task every school night (Monday to Thursday). One activity should be completed in approximately 10-15 minutes.

Further instructions are written on the home learning grid. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns.
